Craft Shows and Relationships

In a relationship, it is important for the two people involved to do things together. No matter how compatible you think the two of you are, you will simply drift apart if all you do together can only be said when the lights are off. While it is indeed true that opposites attract, there have to be certain similarities for the attraction to stay.

It has been a struggle for my girlfriend and I to maintain our relationship at first. I was an office guy, you see, and she was more liberated. Free from the trap of professional monotony, she says. Naturally, we had very different lifestyles, and we just couldn’t keep up with one another.

And then one night, I noticed the fashionable jewelry she was wearing. it wasn’t made out of anything expensive, but we weren’t really out to impress each other at the time. When I asked her where she got it, she simply said that she made it herself. Apparently, she loved making small but beautiful trinkets for herself and her friends.

That’s when something clicked in my head. Being the business-minded guy that I am, I decided to try and convince her to sell her crafts at a crafts fair. I could be the manager; I’ll be the one to talk to people so that a stall could be organized. All she has to do was come up with enough of a supply, and then we’ll be in business.

It’s been two years since that day; and while she didn’t immediately agree, we eventually found ourselves in our first craft show. Our relationship has become stronger than ever as a result of selling her crafts together. I constantly go to the Florida Fairs website, and look for ideal venues for us from the listing there. She, on the other hand, is the face of the booth. She is able to express her fondness for her crafts in a better way than I ever could.
